I : Style your M-SEW

Sometimes when browsing through lookbooks online, I wonder : would anyone wear this look as it is? Of course there's that someone who's daring enough to step out in the pre-styled look with the designers intent in mind. But for the average person, dissecting a styled look to find those key pieces that can be worn many ways is the way to go. Don't get me wrong, some looks are great just as they are, yet others definitely need that personal touch to make them your own.
Looking at the M-SEW AW14 collection lookbook, the looks are wearable as they are yet if each piece was styled with something different the result will be equally stunning!

So if you had M-SEW in your wardrobe, how would you wear it?

Whilst in Bermuda, I asked this question to local artist, Perri whose style sense is very effortlessly cool, how she would style some M-SEW pieces in more ways than one.
At first when Perri put the shirt on she was unaware that the cut of the shirt would be boxy. If boxy why not belt it? Also why not gold! Pair that up with a simple cobalt blue leather pencil skirt to add that splash of colour then add a graphic pair of heels to hit back with the shirt and BAM! A good look that can go for the whole day if needed!
The arrow shirt, originally styled with the orange neoprene dress within the look book is a versatile piece. The cut of the shirt is an oversized fit and allows for it to be worn buttoned down as a top or open over a look to add another layer to change it up. Pairing it with a grey jersey dress with gold accessories once more adds another layer to a basic look. Also with a pair of heels gives a more smart casual vibe. The shoes, customized by Perri herself, add a great contrast to the cleanliness of the shirt and dress ensemble with the rope detailing. Two great looks with one great M-SEW collection piece!
